About Us
Our roots are firm and they run deep in the Big Bend region of West Texas. We have two branches which for over a century have provided the finest in banking services to consumers and businesses in three of the largest counties in Texas. The Marfa National Bank first opened for business in the spring of 1907. 1st Presidio Bank has been serving the US / Mexico border since 1975. One of our Directors served on the board that originally chartered the 1st Presidio Bank, and three of our Directors are descendants of the original 23 shareholders who established The Marfa National Bank.
Through the years, there have been many significant changes in banking, technology, and in our communities. We have successfully evolved with these rapidly changing times by keeping our feet firmly planted on the bedrock of sound financial management; keeping a close tab on the needs of our customers; and by investing in technology and our human resources.
